CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, Aug.10 (PIA) -- Department of Education (DepEd) Division of Pampanga cited the contributions of the local government units (LGUs) in its preparation for the opening of classes.
Pampanga Schools Division Superintendent Zenia Mostoles said the division is very lucky to have a very supportive governor and municipal mayors, who are very much willing to assist teachers and learners in the province.
"There is already a lot of assistance given to us by the LGUs. We just started the production of our modules. After we exhaust our budget, our provincial and municipal governments are ready to augment with the production," Mostoles said.
Aside from the modules, Governor Dennis Pineda met with all the mayors to discuss with them the different needs of all the schools throughout the province.
"During that meeting, all the local chief executives have agreed to support our requirements according to the modalities used by their respective municipalities. This commitment is a big help. With this, we can say that Pampanga is in good hands because all its municipalities are willing to help with everything that the schools need," the DepEd official said.
In addition, Mostoles said that the provincial government is now in the process of procuring 100 risograph machines to produce learning modules.
Aside from the provincial government, some mayors also committed to procure risograph machines for their respective municipalities.
Mostoles said that aside from modular learning, the province will also utilize television-based instruction as one of its learning modalities.
"Our TV production for our TV-based instruction is also ongoing, with the assistance of the Provincial Information Office. But it doesn't end there. The cost of airing these videos will also be shouldered by the provincial government," she said.
Mostoles added that the provincial government is also preparing 13 additional studios for TV production, as part of the blended learning scheme under the new normal in education system. (CLJD/MJSC-PIA 3)
