Damascus, SANA- In an official meeting, Sports and Youth Minister, Mohammad Samih al-Hamoud received Monday Charg d'Affaires of Qatari Embassy in Damascus, Khalifa Abdullah Al Mahmoud.
The two sides discussed means to support sports facilities and rehabilitate damaged ones through benefiting from Qatar's pioneering experience at developing sports stadiums that adopt latest technologies, and that would help to develop sports infrastructure in accordance with international standards.
The meeting also touched on the mechanisms of exchanging sports expertise through taking advantage of Aspire Academy and sports medical centers in Qatar, which are listed among the world leading institutions at preparing athletes and medical rehabilitation.
Both sides highlighted the development of sports media in Qatar, and the possibility of employing sports technology and digital media to support Syrian sports, through applying the latest broadcasting and analysis technologies that have enhanced Qatars global success in promoting sport events.
